MEET THE TEACHERS

Mrs. Durgin and Miss Cooper have been close friends since 2001 when they were both hired as classroom teachers at Riverside.  They have been a "3rd grade team" since the fall of 2006 and have lots of fun working together.   This year they are excited to be working with Jessica Kotulski as a classroom aide and Christine Calligan who is a student teacher from Endicott College.

Jodi Durgin

I'm looking forward to starting my (gulp) thirteenth year of teaching.  I began as a 2nd grade teacher in Winter Park, Florida.  I have also taught first grade, Kindergarten, and third grade.  I love Starbucks iced coffee, taking pictures, roller coasters and going to the beach.  I'm petrified of mice.  I grew up in Swansea, MA (just outside Providence, RI) and now live in Danvers with my husband and three children.  Our son Camden is five and is a Kindergartner at Riverside this year.  Our identical twin girls, Bailey and Avery, just turned one on August 31st.  As a family we enjoy trips to Florida, going for walks around town and spending time in our pool.

Christine Calligan
My name is Christine Calligan from Norwood, Massachusetts.  I am a senior at Endicott College, pursuing a degree in Elementary Education.  I am happiest when I am outside; whether it is going to the beach, playing and watching baseball, going for walks, or just hanging out with my family and friends.  I really love watching Boston sports. Go Red Sox! I am very excited to be student teaching in Mrs. Durgin’s third grade classroom and I look forward to getting to know all of you!
